The major guava growing areas in Pakistani Punjab are : Shariqpur, Kasur, Lahore, Sheikhupora, Sangla Hills, Gujranwala; Kohat, Haripur and Bannu (KPK) and Larkana and Hyderabad (Sindh). Mostly, guavas are grown for fresh consumption.

Pakistan exports guavas to UAE, UK, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Canada (the largest importer of Pakistani guavas - 26% of the total guava exports). In Sindh, an approximate  production is 70,000 tons of fruit and the cultivated area is about 24,000 acres.
